This is a very moving article and ein meshivin al ha-derush, but I would like to point out that, contrary to the assertion of the Mei Shiloach, "noach lo le-adam" almost certainly means "tov lo le-adam." First, see Ben Yehudah Dictionary. Second, the first example the Dictionary brings as to its usage clinches the case. Noach lo le-adam she-yapil atzmo le- tokh kivshan esh, ve'al yalbin penei haveiro ba-rabbim. It cannot mean that it is more pleasant for a man to throw himself into a fiery furnace than to embarrass his fellow in public, but it is better that he do so. All this again is not in any way to detract from the very powerful article of Rabbi Nagen.
