Rabbi Shlomo (Myles) Brody, online editor of Tradition, teaches at Yeshivat Hakotel and writes a regular Ask the Rabbi column for The Jerusalem Post. A graduate of Harvard University, Rabbi Brody received his semicha from the Israeli Chief Rabbinate and is currently pursuing a doctorate in Jewish philosophy at The Hebrew University. Rabbi Jack Bieler is Rabbi of the Kemp Mill Synagogue in Silver Spring, MD. He is a day school educator and written and lectured extensively on the Philosophy of Modern Orthodox Day School education. Rabbi Bieler has also served as a mentor for Bar Ilan University’s Lookstein Center’s Principals Seminar.

Dr. Erica Brown is the Director for Adult Education at The Partnership for Jewish Life and Learning and consults for The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. Dr. Brown is the author of the book, Inspired Jewish Leadership, a National Jewish Book Award finalist and Jewish Boredom (forthcoming), and co-author of The Case for Jewish Peoplehood (all through Jewish Lights). She was a Jerusalem Fellow, is a faculty member of the Wexner Foundation, an Avi Chai Fellow, winner of the Ted Farber Professional Excellence Award, and the recipient of the 2009 Covenant Award for her work in education. Dr. Brown has served as an adjunct professor at American University and George Washington University. She lectures widely on subjects of Jewish interest and leadership, in addition to extensive writing in journals of education and Jewish studies and writes a weekly internet essay called “Weekly Jewish Wisdom” (www.pjll.org). She resides with her husband and four children in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Rabbi Daniel Z. Feldman teaches in the Stone Beit Midrash Program at Yeshiva University, where he also serves as Director of Rabbinic Research at the Center for the Jewish Future. The rabbi of Congregation Etz Chaim in Teaneck, NJ, he is the author of Binah BaSeforim (3 vols), The Right and the Good: Halakhah and Human Relations, and Divine Footsteps: Chesed and the Jewish Soul.

Rabbi David Flatto is an assistant professor of Jewish studies and constitutional law at Penn State University. Rabbi Flatto received a B.A. and Semicha from Yeshiva University, a J.D. from Columbia Law School , and is completing a Ph.D. in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard University . He has also been an adjunct professor at Yeshiva University , and a visiting researcher at Yale Law School and New York University School of Law. He served as Rabbinic Scholar at KJ and Senior Beit Midrash instructor at the Ramaz Upper School between 2000-2008. His works have appeared in the Yale Law Journal Pocket Part, Yale Journal of Law and Humanities, NYU Law Global Hauser Series, Hebraic Political Studies, Commentary, Tradition and The Jerusalem Post.

Rabbi Nathaniel Helfgot serves as Chair of the Depts. of Bible and Jewish Thought; Coordinator of Community Education and Director of Continuing Rabbinic Education at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah Rabbinical School in New York City. He is the associate editor of the Meorot Journal and on the executive committee of the Orthodox Forum. He has written numerous essays and edited a number of volumes including Community, Covenant and Commitment:Selcted Letters and Communications of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik

Rabbi Aryeh Klapper is Dean of the Center for Modern Torah Leadership and Rosh Beit Midrash of its Summer Beit Midrash program, a member of the Beit Din of Boston, and Instructor of Rabbinics and Bioethics at Gann Academy. He previously served as Orthodox Adviser and Director of Education at Harvard Hillel and as Talmud Curriculum Chair at Maimonides High School. Rabbi Klapper lectures in many public and academic forums and has published in numerous popular and scholarly journals. Rabbi Daniel Reifman teaches and serves as mashgiach ruchani at Midreshet AMIT in Jerusalem, and also teaches at Midreshet Lindenbaum. He previously taught Talmud and Halakhah in the Drisha Scholars Circle and at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah. Rabbi Reifman received ordination from the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary and holds an MA in Bible from the Bernard Revel Graduate School. He is currently pursuing a PhD in hermeneutics at Bar Ilan University. He lives with his family in Yad Binyamin, Israel.

Rabbi Dr. Gidon Rothstein is the author of Murderer in the Mikdash and Cassandra Misreads the Book of Samuel, fictional attempts to understand the messages of the Torah and apply them to real-life situations. In more traditional terms, he has lectured for the OU’s Nach Yomi Project and for the WebYeshiva. Rabbi Ezra Schwartz serves in a variety of capacities at Yeshiva University. He is a rebbe in the Stone Beit Midrash Program as well as the Bochein (admissions examiner) of RIETS/MYP. He also serves as the Assistant for Research and Communications to Yeshiva University President Richard Joel. Rabbi Schwartz has recently begun his tenure as Rabbi of Mt. Sinai Jewish Center of Washington Heights. He resides in Washington Heights together with his wife Dr. Rivka Press Schwartz and their four children.
